Edge Hill Students' Union (EHSU)
Edge Hill Students' Union is a democratic membership organisation that represents the interests of all students at the university, its members.
You are automatically a member of the Students’ Union when you register on a course of study with Edge Hill University. EHSU gives students a voice and promotes positive change by lobbying the university and local, regional and national bodies to ensure you have the best possible student experience whilst at university. We work to improve both your educational and social experience. We provide a wide-range of activities for our members including sports and societies, academic advice & guidance, events, student representation, welfare, campaigns and much more.
The students’ union is run by students for students. This means that students, through the officers they elect and the activities they get involved in, make the decisions and ultimately decide the direction of their union!
There are so many reasons for you to get involved in the Students’ Union. Not only is it great fun and one of the best ways to enjoy your university experience it is an amazing experience and really empowers you as a student to shape yours and other students experience and life at Edge Hill. There are so many different ways that you can get involved. You can get directly involved in the union and even participate in the unions forums and meetings and even stand for on of the unions officer positions. Or you could participate more indirectly by getting involved in one of our various sports teams and societies. Remember its YOUR union, that needs YOUR participation.
Students’ Unions exist in nearly all colleges and universities in one form or another. The democratic ethos runs very strongly through our students’ union. We adhere to a constitution which sets out the way the union operates. The constitution is available in the Students’ Union Office for anyone who wants to see it.
